Plywood is also called plywood or thin core board. The production process is to first cook the logs, soften them, and then cut them into thin wood veneers along the direction of the log rings. Then, use three or more odd-numbered veneers. The glue is bonded and then hot pressed. Generally, it can be divided into three specifications: 3 PCT, 5 PCT, 9 PCT, 12 PCT, 15 PCT and 18 PCT.
Advantages of plywood:
The surface of the plywood retains the texture of the original wood, making the surface more natural and beautiful; retaining the strength and toughness of the log, good nail holding ability, easy to cut and process; making furniture lighter than other artificial boards; bonding with glue The veneer method also avoids some defects and flaws in the original wood itself, making the furniture made more beautiful. Because plywood has the advantages of convenient construction and good tensile strength of horizontal stripes, plywood is mainly used in various panels for furniture manufacturing, interior decoration and residential construction.
Disadvantages of plywood:
The main drawback of plywood is its poor bending resistance, so plywood is rarely used as a whole piece of furniture.
